Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

£67 million stimulates high-bandwidth connections for UK businesses

Organisations all over the UK are able to obtain high-bandwidth Internet Connections for a fraction of the normal cost. Businesses seeking new or higher-bandwidth Internet connections shouldn’t ignore the Governments Broadband Voucher Scheme. Eligible customers will see £2,500 deducted from the cost of their connection.

November 2019 Update

Up until the end of October 2019, the Broadband Voucher Scheme had connected over 14,700 premises supported by vouchers with a value of just under £33.8M. Around 10,000 more vouchers with a value of £18 million have been issued pending connection. This commits around £52M of the available £67.8M fund. Organisations wishing to secure funding need to act now before the pot runs dry!

December 2019 Update

Another £2 million was committed in November. 17,300 premises are now supported with vouchers. £13.8 million remains in the fund.

January 2020 Update

As of 18th December the Broadband Voucher Scheme had connected over 17,200 premises supported by vouchers with a value of around £39.4M – an increase of £3.2M since the end of November. In addition, almost 10,200 vouchers with a value of £18.6M have been issued pending connection. This commits around £58M of the available £67.8M.

There is a significant number of voucher applications pending review and we anticipate scheme being fully committed very shortly.
