Recruitment

Systems Support Engineer (Edinburgh)

In line with our increasing demand for support in the Central Belt, Mother Technologies is pleased to be recruiting again and in search of a Support Engineer to join our team in the Edinburgh area.

Our growth geographically requires that we have engineers based locally in the areas we service. We are winning a lot of business in the Central Belt and, whilst much of what we deliver is hosted, our clients always need on-premise support. Mother supports its clients “From Datacentre to Desktop”.

Mother’s regional engineers are home-based. Their primary function is to bolster our helpdesk team, provide remote support to all of our customers across Scotland whilst being strategically positioned to provide rapid on-site support to businesses in the locality when required. To apply for this position you must have an appropriate home-working environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a demanding IT support role and be extremely proficient in desktop support. You will be professional, flexible, conscientious and willing in all aspects of your work ensuring that the high standards expected of our clients are always met.

You will be confident with remote interactive support, have patience and great interpersonal skills to comfort our diverse user-base. In addition to daily helpdesk activities you will also be involved in installations, upgrades and projects across the wide range of IT and telecom solutions Mother provides.

You will frequently be required to spend time at our head office in Aberdeen for training. For visits to Aberdeen, accommodation will be provided when stays span more than a business day.

A competitive package is being offered with a basic salary aligned to your experience. It includes: competitive basic, company car, business-grade internet connection, laptop and smart phone.
